Hi! i'm Camilla
Locatelli, illustrator

& visual storyteller based in Parma, Italy. I work across editorial and commercial projects, with a focus on visual storytelling rooted in emotion and human experience. After graduating in Fashion Design from NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, I gained experience in the communication department of a fashion brand, where I developed a strong understanding of visual language, art direction, and brand communication. I then returned to illustration to pursue a more personal and narrative-driven practice. My work is defined by a clean, essential style, soft color palettes, and suspended, atmospheric compositions. I use digital techniques to create images that balance clarity and depth, often conveying complex emotional states through minimal elements, sometimes with a subtle sense of irony. I explore themes such as relationships, inner life, the body, and mental well-being, translating them into visuals suited for editorial contexts including magazines, book covers, and digital platforms. I bring a thoughtful, collaborative approach to each project, with attention to concept development, briefing, and deadlines. My aim is to create images that not only communicate clearly within a given context, but also resonate on an emotional level.
