The Nightmares Series

I created this series during a painful journey throughout my most disturbing feelings and emotions. It began as a sensory exploration of my bodily sensations related to painful memories and traumatic experiences to then continue as sketching visuals on impulse from waking nightmares that came to my mind during this dark path.

I developed “all this dark materials” into a personal project around universal themes of pain and trauma. What came out of this process is a gloomy series of illustrations representing different expressions of pain: suffocating helplessness, irrepressible rage, despairing loneliness and abandonment and unbearable pain against violence and loss of control.
